The goal is to provide visitors with a creative backdrop for children’s play, and through playground structures and games to educate visitors about the special features of this location. Thus, the idea is to teach little visitors something about Cavtat through the game, a little about the history, the personalities who shaped it or about the natural peculiarities of the place. The toys of the legendary dragon Voaz and the Šipun cave, the memory of the legendary Tino Pattier and many other landmarks that are unobtrusively incorporated into the playground. The chosen material for making children’s game elements is acacia wood in the form of round logs of different thicknesses. Due to its hardness and natural preservation ability, it is resistant to rotting without the need for maintenance, which makes it an ideal choice for use in open areas. Acacia logs are naturally curved and their surface is tactilely interesting. The surface of the children’s playground is the Playtop surface, a seamless anti-stress surface made of cast rubber.

The project is inspired by a folk legend, according to which a dragon named Voaz roamed this area, residing in the Šipun cave in Cavtat. Saint Ilar lived in a cave near Cavtat and according to legend he saved Epidaurum (Cavtat) from the terrible dragon Voaz from the Šipun cave. The children's playground is located within the urban complex of Cavtat, which as a cultural-historical complex is registered in the Register of Immovable Cultural Properties, i.e. the highest level of protection.
The goal of the new children's playground is to meet the modern requirements of a children's play area, to create a highly ambient space for play, socializing, staying and educating children and their companions. The approach of creating a children's playground that is determined, especially and differently, by its location, was to avoid the creation of an identical, catalog playground.
