The public garage is located in Nova Mokošica, the first large suburb of Dubrovnik 7 km to the west, located directly above the Adriatic Highway in the direction of Split. The project tackles the problem of the centre of the settlement, i.e. the high density of construction – residential buildings with commercial ground floors. The high concentration of population in a relatively small area resulted in the lack of parking spaces and public areas.

Special attention was paid to the preservation of the existing public space – the park and the children’s playground at the location. All floors of the garage, apart from the entrance, were thus planned as underground floors. 200 garage spaces were created with the ramp as the vertical road connection inside the garage, while the vertical pedestrian connections were made through stairs and elevators. The garage can be accessed and left via Bartol Kašić Street on the lower side of the site, which created new public areas in the upper part of the site – children’s playground, basketball court, seating area with landscaped horticultural areas and catering facilities.
